When I went to Georgia last November, I went to close a chapter from my youth and discover myself in a foreign place. Among the things I discovered was a little band called BANDIT fronted by singer songwriter Angela Plake. I had fallen in love with her song “Dragon” that was featured in a wonderful video for the band they called The Chariot. I was also taken by her small stature and beautiful voice, it made me feel that my trip was to in essence witness something important in my life end and to witness something begin, take form and blossom like the flower on the Bandit t-shirt I bought from the nice merch lady which came with a gift wrapped CD featuring my favourite song “Dragon” and a haunting yet lovely cover of “Where is my Mind?”  I’m writing all of this because Bandit has set up a Kickstarter to help fund the production of their first EP, I encourage all my friends to click on the link and take the time to listen and hopefully make you feel the same way I felt when I first heard their music.

11.23.13. Douglasville Georgia.
Posted 7 months ago with 32 notes
Just finished a very long weekend that took me to Georgia, more specifically Douglasville to help close a chapter for The Chariot I travelled on my own, went for broke, spent too much time in airports and in the air, not enough sleep, too much southern comfort (I’m talking about the food) and overall complete exhaustion. I’d do it again, just for these guys, my friends. Long Live.
